What is National Tourism Day?

India, a country where ethnicity, practice, culture, language, traditions, etc turns a new page with every kilometre as one moves from North to South, we have a lot to offer in the tourism industry. India being the 7th largest country in the world stands apart from the rest of the Asian continent. It has mountains and the sea, which makes the country a distinct geographical entity.

Every year, National Tourism Day is celebrated on January 25. This day is observed by the government to encourage tourism and explain the essential role of tourism in the growth of the country.

Theme of National Tourism Day 2021

This year, the theme of National Tourism Day is ‘Dekho Apna Desh’. Coronavirus pandemic has intensely affected the tourism sector due to the restrictions on travel. The Ministry of Tourism had organized seminars around the theme from January 21 to February 22, 2021.

Significance

India provides the experience of multicultural nuances and a rich heritage accompanied by beautiful attractions. The country is among the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Keeping such exquisite beauty behind the veils, is a sin in its own accord.

Celebrating National Tourism Day 2021

National Tourism Day can be celebrated in multiple and diverse ways. As says the norm in tourism, travelling is one of the best ways to celebrate the day! One may elope into the hill stations or adventurous getaways, heritage journeys or classical voyages, excitement lined up for the day every year.

This day, across the country, the Ministry of tourism holds exclusive talks on making travel more economical and affordable to all classes. They also have panel discussions related to infrastructure development in the tourism industry, safety concerns, cleanliness, presentations and hospitality management.
