August 31, 2021: Another medal comes to India. This time, Indian shooter Singhraj Adhana wins bronze in the P1 men’s 10m air pistol SH1 event for the country.

Just four years into the game, Singhraj Adhana wins bronze for the nation in Tokyo Paralympics.
After qualifying for the eight-man final as the sixth best shooter, Adhana shot a total of 216.8 to finish third in the event.

PM Narendra Modi praised the Indian shooter for his “exceptional performance.” The Prime Minister also said that Adhana worked tremendously hard and has achieved remarkable success.

Abhinav Bindra and other athletes praise him
Olympic gold medalist Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra showered praises on Adhana. “Congratulations Singhraj Adhana on winning the Bronze medal in the men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 at the #Tokyo2020 Paralympics #Praise4Para,” he tweeted.
Athlete Deepa Malik, also the first woman to win silver medal at Paralympics, said that she is proud oto touch the medal which validates his hardwork and years of dedication.
“Your smile says it all @AdhanaSinghraj .. and so proud to touch the medal which validates your hardwork and years of dedication. So proud to hold the medal . And yes gratitude for bringing home the glory @praise4para @stcparashooting @nautiyalJP,” tweeted Malik.
Shooter Heena Sidhu said, “Another medal from our paralympic Shooters. Congratulations to Singhraj for winning the a bronze medal for the country 👍👍👍 proud of their performances.”

In the Class 4-5 quarterfinal, the Indian women’s table tennis team, which included Bhavina Patel, was defeated 0-2 by China. For the third time in the competition, Bhavina lost 0-3 (4-11 7-11 6-11) to Ying Zhou, who had earned a historic silver in the singles event on Sunday. In the singles final, the Chinese had also defeated her.
