Samsung Galaxy F62, the newest addition to the F Series

The goal of the Galaxy F62 is to deliver a true flagship-grade SoC in the mid-range price segment and for this, Samsung has chosen its Exynos 9825 SoC from the Galaxy Note 10+ as the centre-piece for this smartphone.

The new release of Samsung Galaxy F62 is the recent addition to Samsung Galaxy F series, a midrange  series, manufactured by Samsung Electronics. The first model released in the series was the Samsung Galaxy F41, which was launched on October 8, 2020. The line is primarily targeting customers in India.

Samsung Galaxy F62: The newest addition

Samsung is slowly but steadily expanding its new F-series line of Galaxy phones, which up until now only consisted of the Galaxy F41.

The new arrival in the series is called the Samsung Galaxy F62, which is positioned at a higher price segment.

The goal of the Galaxy F62 is to deliver a true flagship-grade SoC in the mid-range price segment and for this, Samsung has chosen its Exynos 9825 SoC from the Galaxy Note 10+ as the centre-piece for this smartphone.

The new model has been priced at Rs 23,999.

It packs a humongous 7,000mAh battery making it the second device in Samsung’s lineup to sport a battery this big after the Galaxy M51. You also get a bundled 25W charger in the box and a textured dual-tone laser gradient design.

Features of Samsung F62

Display and Camera

The all-new Samsung F62 comes with a 6.7-inch Infinity-O AMOLED Plus display with FHD+ resolution and a 32MP selfie cam.

Around the back, we have a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultrawide and two 5MP modules for macro shots and depth data.

Storage

Samsung’s 7nm Exynos 9825 which made its debut with the Galaxy Note10 line sits at the helm paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

Battery

The star of the show is the massive 7,000 mAh battery which should deliver ample running times.

Other notable features of Samsung F62

The phone is 9.5mm thick, runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1 and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 will be available in Laser Green, Laser Blue and Laser Grey colour options.

When and from where can someone buy this phone?

It is set to go on sale in India at 12 noon on February 22.

The price range will be from Rs 23,999 to Rs 25,999.
Retail price for the 6/128GB version is Rs 23,999 while the 8/128GB model goes for Rs 25,999. Pre-orders are open on Samsung.com, Flipkart and Reliance Digital and Jio online store. ICICI Credit and Debit cards owners get Rs 2,500 instant cashback.

The phone will compete against the Xiaomi Mi 10i, Realme X7/ Realme X7 Pro.
