Realme 8 Pro launched, here’s the first look and details

Realme 8 Pro has finally arrived after about a month full of leaks and teasers. In fact, everything about the phone was mostly known. The most talked-about feature on this is its 108-megapixel camera.


Realme 8 Pro main features

The phone comes with a 6.40-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM. The Realme 8 Pro runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. It supports proprietary fast charging.

Realme 8 Pro Camera, the  most talked about feature

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 8 Pro on the rear packs a 108-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.88 aperture; an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.25 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera setup has auto-focus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.45 aperture. Day or night, it’s easy to take clear, vivid, and lifelike images.

Realme 8 Pro equipped In-sensor Zoom technology uses 3X Ultra Zoom to take photos that are no less than those taken with 3X optical zoom.

It can shoot 8 pictures quickly each time and then process them to improve the sharpness in the output.


The Realme 8 Pro runs Realme UI 2.0 is based on Android 11 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card with a dedicated slot. This is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme 8 Pro measures 160.60 x 73.90 x 8.10mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 176.00 grams.

Frosted anti-glare particles are enlarged and brightened, creating a micro-texture that gives a deep sense of dimension. The result is a natural crystal finish that combines glossy and matte, rough and delicate.

It is launched in Illuminating Yellow, Infinite Black, and Infinite Blue colours. In this model in Illuminating Yellow, a magical glow surrounds the camera and the message “DARE TO LEAP”. This special fluorescent material absorbs light and glows in the dark, so your style shines bright even at night.

Connectivity options on this smartphone include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.

As of March 25, 2021, Realme 8 Pro price in India starts at Rs 17,999.
