Monsoon and fashion- The everlasting chemistry

Monsoon and Fashion go hand in hand. Our Bollywood movies with the dreamy monsoon sequences have always inspired us to break the monotony of monsoon with the fashionable looks. Monsoon and Fashion- The Everlasting Chemistry

Rainy days are not necessarily meant to wear Raincoats and knee boots, as we have been instructed right from our childhoods. It can be more happening than that and it’s the time for us to follow some of the ravishing cinematic monsoon style attires, that we have been attracted for so long! Bollywood, Rain, and Saree- starting from the Golden Era, Bollywood has indeed gifted us a fascinating combination of monsoon and fashion trends. Some of the most iconic rainy scenes of Bollywood have seen it all- romance, fun, grace, foot-tapping numbers, you name it! From Nargis in Pyar Hua Ikraar Hua to Shahrukh offering love to Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, these monsoon scenes and their cinematography are always so dreamy and stunning. Monsoon and Fashion together have played a major role in some of these songs and here is the time for us to look at some of the iconic moments of Bollywood which has set #FashionGoals for generations:

1. Sensational Chiffon: When rain soaks in the city, Chiffon sarees hit the first spot to give you the marvellous seductive yet serene look. We have already witnessed in Bollywood movies, how chiffon can raise the level of chemistry and sets the right style quotient! All colours will not give you the same vibe as expected, but there are some vibrant colour combinations of chiffons which you should definitely try- like Yellow, Red, White, Orange, and Black! There will be an unbelievable rise in your X-factor (or should we say Y-Factor?), when one gets drenched in the romantic monsoon, wearing these coloured chiffons.

2. The Thirsty Dungarees: Remember the denim Dungaree that the Legendary Diva Sridevi Ji, wore in “Na jane kaha se ayegi” from Chalbaaz. It’s pure nostalgia! You can also try this combination of Denim Dungarees with a white top or can flatter your look with combos like Coloured Dungarees, Contrast tops, and a transparent Hat! Just try this out.

3. Noodle Doodle-If you can recall Madhuri Dixit’s Chak Dhoom Dhoom from Dil to Pagal Hai, then you can relate to this. Eye soothing pastel shades like Sky Blue, Lime Green, Light Yellow may be the perfect choices for wearing Noodle strapped Salwar Suits during Monsoon. It guarantees giving you a Vibrant, yet elegant and classy look. Don’t believe me? Check this out yourself.

4. The Bossy Metallic Monsoon is the only season to bring the glossy boss out of you. The Metallic Silver, Mauve, Pink, or Blue are the perfect shades to wear when it comes to short one-pieces during Rain. And definitely, you can stand out of the crowd even more if you pair them up with shoes like flats, snickers, or with a pair of metallic heels. Check this out.

5. Lips don’t Lie: Alongside your attire, also Monsoon is the perfect time to focus on your makeover and there will be the cherry on the cake only when you will mix and match your attire with the perfect Lip shade. True recommendations are to wear some nude shades or a perfect red rouge shade (should try L’oreal’s Rouge Signature), or a hyper glossy metallic(From M.A.C or Maybelline)in colours like Mauve, Silver or Golden.

6. Daringly backless:  Well, since Sarees have always played major roles to give a mesmerizing impact on monsoons, combining it with the perfect Choli is a must. Its always suggested to try something backless or with one strap or noodle strap to raise the bar. Bollywood has always influenced us to date, giving the idea to mix the best top or choli with your saree on monsoons. The colours may be any, depending on your saree choice, or can be of contrast as well. Also, you can pair a Simple, Elegant Cotton Saree in the colors white or yellow with an absolute contrast blouse. Let us recall our Retros in this regard; Still, Confused? Check this-
