Aamir Khan’s message on 20 years of Lagaan
Though Aamir Khan had recently quit social media, the actor appeared in an Instagram video through his production house’s handle to connect with fans on the day that Lagaan completed 20 years.
Aamir shot a special video in which he can be seen in a look from his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha.
The actor said while they faced several challenges in its making of Lagaan, it also brought them much happiness, memories and relationships.
Aamir also thanked everyone who were part of the film’s journey as well as the audience for all the love and support.
20 years and counting
Starring a whole host of talented actors, Lagaan among many other achievements, made it to the nominations of the prestigious Oscars, being the third film after Mother India and Salaam Bombay.
The third film to do so and one which changed the way people looked at Indian cinema, also giving it a place on the global platform.
The film is a timeless classic, a sports epic that saw the impeccable Aamir Khan ‘Bhuvan’ along with some superlative performances by the ensemble cast and soulful tracks by A.R. Rahman made it a melodious memory for all.
Lagaan marked the first for Aamir Khan Productions and since then the production house has presented to its audiences some really inspiring stories.
