September 4, 2021: September appears to be jam-packed with major smartphone announcements from some of the industry’s leading names. According to Mashable, September 13 is the rumoured date, a day before Apple is scheduled to introduce the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 series and the Galaxy S21 FE are expected to be unveiled in September, according to Apple and Samsung. And now it appears that Google is attempting to steal the show. Google’s large new Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro are on the way, and a tip suggests they may come sooner than expected.
Google Pixel 6 series
According to the source, Google’s international Pixel 6 news meet will take place on September 13. If this is correct, September will be a very busy month for smartphones.
Google’s phones have always had excellent cameras, and it appears like the firm is pushing up its photography game even more this year.
Google Pixel 6 Pro is a smartphone that will be released soon. A 6.70-inch touchscreen display is rumoured to be included in the phone. Wireless charging is supported by the Google Pixel 6 Pro.
The Pixel 6 Pro will include three cameras, each with up to 4x optical zoom, a first for Google’s smartphone brand. The Pixel 6 Pro will have a QHD+ 6.7-inch 120Hz refresh rate display, while the Pixel 6 will have a 90Hz display.
Features of the Google Pixel 6 series
Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C are rumoured to be included in the Google Pixel 6 Pro’s connectivity options.
Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor are rumoured to be among the phone’s sensors.
To add to the uncertainty, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will include Google’s own ‘Tensor’ chip. While Samsung is apparently overseeing the production of the new Tensor chip, Google has stated that it would increase its performance by adding its own Machine Learning and AI algorithms.
Titan M security chip
In addition to the TPU, both of the future gadgets will have a new version of Google’s Titan M security chip.
“The Pixel 6 will have the greatest layers of hardware security in any phone,” Google stated, citing Tensor’s new security core and Titan M2.
A number of significant features that are believed to be included in the future Pixel 6 series have also been reported in the past.
The Pixel 6 Pro, for example, will include a 5,000mAh battery, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage space.
The dual-tone design with a camera bar on the back panel is still present on the Pixel 6 series. The Pro version has a polished aluminium frame, whilst the non-Pro version has a matte aluminium frame.
