Chaitra Navratri 2021 begins on Tuesday, April 13 and will be continuing till Thursday, April 22. Notably, there are four seasonal Navratris which are celebrated throughout the entire year by Hindus, across the world.

Among the four seasonal Navratris, the Chaitra Navratri is celebrated with great pomp and show during the months of March-April. This special occasion goes on for nine whole days.

Chaitra Navratri 2021: The symbolic colours

Interestingly enough, there are nine different colours which are dedicated to each day of Chaitra Navratri and hold great importance.

Chaitra Navratri 2021: The nine auspicious colours

The nine colours which are of lot importance during the Chaitra Navratri are as follows;

Orange

This colour signifies joy, brightness, happiness, vibrant and positive energy in one’s life.

White

This colour denotes peace, harmony, divinity, calmness, healing and blessings.

Red

It signifies immense strength, power, love, courage, passion and high levels of energy, love and sincerity.

Royal Blue

This Royal colour signifies royalty, just like its name, abundance, prosperity, charm and enchanting auras in a person’s life.

Yellow

This warm shade denotes pure joy, happiness, comforts, pleasures, good vibes and warmth, lively energies and kindness.

Green

The colour of nature, green denotes growth, prosperity, multiplication of material things, soothing, recovery, strength and being close to mother earth.

Grey

The colour between white and black, grey denotes strength of transformation, warding away evil spirits, negativity, bad vibes and bad luck.

Purple

Another Royal colour, purple denotes mysticism, royalty, pleasures, luxuries, material comforts and magnetic personalities.

Peacock Green

A colour that signifies beauty, charm, passion and glory all at the same time. It denotes good and positive growth in all aspects of one’s life.

Each of these colours carry a special meaning and significance with them. Bringing them into one’s lives during this sacred time does so much good.
