CBSE launches mental well-being app to help the students during the uncertain times of the second wave of COVID-19 global pandemic. The CBSE board has now launched a mobile application for all android phones which is called “CBSE Dost For Life”.
Through this app, students can access the counselling sessions to be provided. These counselling sessions meant for students is to be provided to all the students of classes IX, X, XI, and XII by 83 volunteer counsellors as well as many principals of various schools.

From Monday onwards, the children who are studying in any CBSE affiliated school would be able to access these psychological counselling sessions via a new mobile application that has been developed by the board. In the run-up to the board examinations, the CBSE board has provided mental and career counselling via a toll free number in the past years. This year, it has now developed an app.
BSE Dost for Life: A mental well-being app
All these sessions are meant to be totally free of cost and are to be provided on all Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in a week. All parents and students would be able to choose their suitable and desired time slot for the free counseling sessions, either between 9.30am and 1.30pm or else between 1.30pm and 5.30pm.
Statements on the app
According to a spokesperson of the CBSE board, the “CBSE Dost For Life” app would also provide the students with many other resources and materials like the suggestive course guides meant for after senior secondary education, many tips on well-being and mental health, and also a “corona guide” which would contain all the information on daily safety protocols and also learning from home along with proper self-care and precautions.
