It's raining cash rewards for Indian medal winners. India's Tokyo Olympics medallists are Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Dahiya, PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain and Bajrang Punia.

August 11, 2021: It’s raining cash rewards for Indian medal winners. India won seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics, including one in athletics, two in wrestling, one in weight lifting, one in hockey, one in boxing, and one in badminton.

With this, India surpassed the mark of six medals, which had previously been the country’s biggest ever medal haul at a single edition of the games (London, 2012), to become the country’s most successful Olympic trip ever.

In Tokyo, javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won India’s first-ever track-and-field Olympic gold medal, while badminton player PV Sindhu won bronze, boxer Lovlina Borgohain won bronze, the Indian men’s hockey team broke a 41-year jinx by winning bronze, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won a silver, and wrestlers Ravi Dahiya and Bajrang Punia won silver and bronze, respectively.

Neeraj Chopra (Gold Medal in Javelin Throw)

From Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar: Rs 6 crore, Neeraj to also be made the head of the upcoming Centre for Excellence in Athletics in Panchkula.

From Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh: Rs 2 crore

From IOA: Rs 75 lakh

From BCCI: Rs 1 crore

From Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Rs 1 crore. CSK will make a special jersey with the number 8758 as a mark of respect to Neeraj (His longest throw in the Olympics final was 87.58m).

From IndiGo airlines: Unlimited free travel for 1 year

From Elan Group (Gurugram-based realty firm): Rs 25 lakh
