Butter garlic prawns: Mouthful of buttery goodness

Butter garlic prawns: A quick party palate

Lemon Butter Garlic Prawns are an easy to put appetizer that can be done in 15 minutes and is super tasty, spicy, juicy, and a crowd-pleaser. The garlic lemony butter sauce brings out the flavour of seas, on your prawn starter.

Garlic and butter are seasonal favourites right now and prawns make it the perfect time to whip up this recipe. And once it reaches your table, it is bound to make a comeback.

You can serve this delicious garlic butter prawn as an appetizer or stir some pasta in the butter garlic sauce for a perfect quick dinner.

Ingredients to make butter garlic prawns

10-15 Prawns, cleaned

15 cloves Garlic, finely chopped

1/2 Lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt (kosher preferably)

1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli flakes

1 teaspoon Black pepper powder

1/2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tablespoon Butter (Salted)

Salt, to taste

Coriander Leaves, chopped

Method

  • Clean the prawn and devein in. Wash and let it rest.
  • Heat up a skillet or a flat surface pan and add olive oil and butter into it. Olive oil will save the butter from burning.
  • Once the butter gets melted, then add chopped garlic into it. Keep tossing till you get a slight aroma of garlic.
  • Add the seasoned prawns into it and cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  • Add red chilli flakes, salt and black pepper powder into the prawns and mix everything properly.
  • Cover the pan and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Check if prawns have cooked properly.
  • Once prawns are ready, check for the salt and turn off the stove.
  • Add the lemon juice into the prawns and give it a good toss. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve.

Serve Butter Garlic Prawns as a side dish with steamy rice or snack on it. It’s easy and definitely will make a perfect munch companion.
