The Indian actor was born on November 10, 1967, at Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh. Besides being a film actor, he is also a television actor, television presenter, theatre actor, opera actor, and poet. He has left the tints of his splendid acting in Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Haryanvi, and Hindi films.

Ashutosh Rana’s jump to acting
“Rana” comes from his original name Ashutosh Ramnarayan Neekhra. Growing up in Madhya Pradesh, he has acted in stage shows and played Ravan in Ramleela. The love and support Rana got from these stage shows made acting his passion and he took it up as a career.
He landed in the National School of Drama to hone his acting skills and entertain audiences.
Initial footsteps and success
On the advice of his guruji, Dadda Ji, he went to Mumbai and met the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. In 1995, he stepped into the television industry with the famous TV series Swabhiman.
This was the commencement of his amusing acting career. Dhund, Farz, Sazzish, Waris were few of the television series where Rana became a popular face in the tele industry.

His entry in Bollywood was from the movie Sansodhan where he played the role of a clerk. He drew the attention of the filmmakers and audience with Dushman where he played a cold-blooded psychopathic killer.

He is married to Renuka Sahane who is also a renowned actress of the Indian Film industry. She is well known for her role in Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan starrer Hum Apke Hai Kaun and as a TV presenter of Doordarshan TV show Surabhi.
Rana has always been very open about his profound love for his better half. In many interviews he has talked about how Renuka wooed her with her grace and acting.
The couple met through a mutual friend and since then Rana has always had a chance to have a talk with the gracious Sahane.
With luck Rana was able to be a friend of Sahane and in the next three months they became really close. But all the talks were over the phone.
Rana then narrated a poem expressing his emotions which required an answer in the end. The poem sparked the emotions of Renuka and she finally confessed she was in love with Ashutosh Rana.
It has been 19 years and both are leading a happy and healthy life with their two sons Shauryaman Rana and Satyendra Rana.
