September 16, 2021: Apple’s latest invention, the iPhone 13 series, has arrived, and the much-anticipated event is getting traction. The innovative smartphone was unveiled in a virtual event on Tuesday, with CEO Tim Cook introducing the device to the crowd. Apart from the device’s unique new features, Apple played Dum Maaro Dum tune, to which desi netizens couldn’t stop themselves from singing along.

Apart from the newest member of Apple’s family, desi netizens were sent into a frenzy when they heard a track from the iconic Bollywood song Dum Maaro Dum played at the presentation.
A short clip from the unveiling went viral on social media, showing a delivery guy navigating with the latest iPhone while music that sounded strikingly similar to Dum Maaro Dum played in the background.
The desis couldn’t hold their cool after hearing the familiar melody, which was streamed by 2 million people around the world.

Following much speculation, the song that was mistaken for the renowned Zeenat Aman number was revealed to be Work All Day by Footsie, which was inspired by the Bollywood classic.
Footsie’s song Work All Day was released in 2014 and is quite comparable to Dum Maaro Dum.
The snippet created a frenzy in no time, and all Bollywood fanatics tweeted with fervour. Some also confused the original Zeenat Aman song with the remixed version starring Deepika Padukone.

Dum Maaro Dum was a popular song from the film Hare Krishna Hare Ram, which starred Zeenat Aman and Dev Anand in main roles, and was released in 1971. Asha Bhosle sang the song, which was composed by RD Burman. Later on, Deepika Padukone starred in the remixed version of the song, which was released in 2011. It was the title track for the Bollywood film Dum Maaro Dum.
